The reunion between Susana Giménez and the iconic national brand Secco has been one of the major advertising milestones of the year. The campaign, produced by Prisma, demanded a filming vision as innovative as its protagonist.
At Cacodelphia Studios, we had the honor of hosting Susana Giménez and the production team. Our goal: to enable multiple dynamic environments to be recreated in the same space, demonstrating maximum efficiency and eliminating the challenges of a traditional shoot.
The Challenge: Multiple Worlds, Zero Lost Days
The campaign concept required the diva to move seamlessly through different scenarios. A traditional shoot would involve complex logistics, very high travel costs, extensive permits, and constant dependence on the weather.
This is where our virtual production technology became the ideal solution, guaranteeing zero lost days and unprecedented optimization.
The LED Screen: The Heart of Efficiency on Set
The Secco campaign was filmed entirely at our studio in Buenos Aires. Using our high-definition LED screens, we projected the various environments required by the script. The key value of this methodology lies in its direct benefits for production:
Direct benefits of this methodology during the shoot:
- Lighting and Reflection Control: The light emanating from the LED screens illuminated Susana Giménez and the set elements with the exact color and ambiance of each virtual “world”, all under total control and without unwanted shadows.
- Total Logistical Efficiency: Transportation costs for equipment and crew to multiple locations were eliminated, as well as the need to manage filming permits in complex locations.
- Absolute Visual Consistency: The production team was able to maintain light and tone consistency in all scenes, regardless of the recreated environment, something practically impossible to achieve on location or with multiple physical sets.
- Record-Time Optimization: By consolidating multiple “worlds” into a single studio, shooting days were planned extremely efficiently, maximizing every minute of filming and avoiding delays caused by weather or travel.
- Fluid Acting Performance: Susana Giménez was able to interact directly with the visual environments in real-time, which facilitates direction and allows for a more natural and believable performance.
A Successful Reunion Powered by Technology
The new Secco campaign, which fuses nostalgia with state-of-the-art technology, is a testament to the value that virtual production offers for high-end advertising.
At Cacodelphia Studios, we are proud to have been the technological engine behind this iconic reunion and to continue positioning Buenos Aires as a center for cutting-edge audiovisual production.
