The wait is almost over for the premiere of The Eternaut, the highly anticipated adaptation of the iconic science fiction graphic novel written by Héctor G. Oesterheld and illustrated by Francisco Solano López.
The series, starring Ricardo Darín, will arrive on Netflix on April 30, and to celebrate the announcement, the platform released a new official trailer that offers a glimpse into the story and its stunning production.

Directed by Bruno Stagnaro, the series will feature six episodes and promises to stay true to the essence of the original work, in which a group of survivors faces an alien invasion after a deadly snowfall covers Buenos Aires.
Virtual Production for an Apocalyptic Universe
The Eternaut is not only one of the most important stories in Argentine science fiction, but also a massive challenge in terms of audiovisual production. To recreate the post-apocalyptic world depicted in the original work, the team behind the series used Virtual Production, a technology that enables the creation of immersive environments through large-format LED screens and real-time rendering.
This approach not only made it easier to create devastated landscapes and complex action scenes, but also allowed for full control over lighting and visual effects, ensuring a visual experience worthy of the story.
Cacodelphia Studios, Part of a Historic Production
At Cacodelphia Studios, we’re proud to have been part of this ambitious production. Our studios played a key role in bringing several scenes of the series to life, providing the ideal environment for a project of this scale. The combination of Virtual Production and a specialized technical team allowed many of *The Eternaut*’s sequences to come to life smoothly and efficiently.
As the premiere approaches, anticipation continues to grow. With this first audiovisual adaptation, Netflix aims to bring The Eternaut to a global audience, cementing its legacy as one of the most influential works in Argentine literature.
