"I had never seen anything like it."
With that phrase, Ricardo Darín summed up what he felt when he stepped onto our set. He said it in an interview with Sebastián De Caro on Vorterix, while they talked about the highly anticipated series El Eternauta, premiering on Netflix this April 30th.
At Cacodelphia, we had the opportunity to be part of that production. And what happened during the shoot still surprises, even actors with decades of experience.
Darín shared what it was like to film surrounded by screens, with landscapes moving in real time. He saw it right there, while acting. And that is precisely the magic of virtual production: allowing actors, directors, and technicians to work inside the very world they’re telling.
He said it naturally, like someone still processing the experience. What he saw on set wasn’t ordinary. It wasn’t what he was used to seeing. Because this technology, even if it sounds like the future, is already part of the audiovisual present in Argentina.
We feel deeply grateful to have contributed to this project, which not only holds great cultural value with El Eternauta, but also opens new perspectives for cinema and audiovisual production in Argentina.
Y si alguien se pregunta cómo es filmar en un estudio de producción virtual, Darín ya dio una pista: “Nunca había visto algo así”.
