The new film by Guillermo Francella, Homo Argentum, is a phenomenon in theaters. With its 16 stories and a portrait of our culture that is as sharp as it is humorous, the film by Cohn and Duprat became one of the great successes of Argentinian cinema in recent years.
What not many know is that, behind the magic of the big screen, virtual production played a key role. At Cacodelphia Studios, we had the challenge of participating in this high-caliber production. The goal? To recreate with total precision the imposing Salón Blanco de la Casa Rosada.
Shooting at the Casa Rosada? Better in a Virtual Studio
The Salón Blanco is not just a set; it's a symbol of Argentinian history. Its architecture, lighting, and details are recognizable to everyone. But filming at the real location can become a logistical nightmare: permits, security, actors' time. A complication that can delay a project for weeks.

That's where our technology came into play as the smartest and most efficient solution. Using our LED screens, we digitally recreated every corner of the Salón Blanco. This gave the filming team total control over the scene: the light, the reflections, the perspective. The final result on screen is so impeccable that it's impossible to distinguish it from the real location.
Innovation Driving Quality Cinema
The participation of Cacodelphia Studios in Homo Argentum demonstrates that virtual production is not just a technological gimmick, it's an indispensable tool for today's cinema.
The success of the film at the box office is irrefutable proof that innovation is not at odds with artistic quality. When technology is used strategically, barriers that were once unthinkable can be overcome, and creators can focus on what really matters: telling a story that connects.
We are proud to have participated in this milestone for our cinema and to continue innovating with creativity and efficiency from our film studios in Buenos Aires.
