El Eternauta is the most-watched non-English language series in the world… and it was filmed at Cacodelphia

El Eternauta es la serie más vista en la plataforma Netflix

In its first weeks, El Eternauta became the most-watched non-English language series worldwide on Netflix. With 10.8 million views, it topped the platform’s global Top 10 and ranked among the most-watched content in 87 countries, including the United States, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and India.

A large part of this production was filmed at Cacodelphia, using virtual production technology. The series, starring Ricardo Darín and based on the iconic 1957 Argentine comic, combined local talent with a technique that is transforming the audiovisual industry: large-format LED screens and a fully immersive filming experience.

In our studio, directors, technicians, and actors worked within the visual universe of the series. That aesthetic, that depth, that atmosphere seen today on Netflix was created in real time, on a set designed for it.

That El Eternauta is now the most-watched series in its category worldwide not only confirms the cultural value of the story, but also the technical potential of audiovisual production made in Argentina.
